Pop(Up) Culture

Spontaneity has been my word of the year for the last few years now. Luckily for me, it seems it has been for some of my favorite artists as well. Pop-ups have been all the rage recently, and I believe it makes for such special experiences. Some that were amazing within the last two weeks were Mumford and Sons at Houston Hall in NYC, John Summit skiing down a mountain to his surprise set in Colorado, D.O.D on a sunny Sunday in Brooklyn, and Paul McCartney in NYC.
So many people feel that concert ticket buying is comparable to the Hunger Games (not to be dramatic or anything), so this is such a fun way to create buzz andddd make a much more special memory. Staying on the lookout for these kinds of events is so fun and even more rewarding when you get to go.
There is also so much room for creativity in planning these. John Summit did another one mid-air in a gondola to keep up with the ski theme; Layton Giordani had a pop-up in a Porsche dealership; Levity had one in Leon’s Bagels in NYC, so the possibilities are really just beyond unique and pretty hilarious.
Hopefully, we see even more of these over the summertime !! And if you ever find any cool ones, you have to message me @morganaja__ on instagram ;)
