Why Brand Collaborations Are SO. GOOD.

Brands collaborating on launches is one of the greatest strategies they could use to create buzz. Four immediately pop into my head and are just chefs kiss.
Starting with the latest, Rhode x Matilda Djerf. The two have very similar audiences and aesthetics, so creating a Rhode lip treatment with Matilda was a dream collaboration for their followers. Matilda and Hailey are so many people’s muses. I.e., “Hailey Bieber nails,” “Matilda Djerf style.” And not to mention the allusion to Christmas nostalgia with Matilda’s Cindy Lou Who inspired hair in this photoshoot. If you read my last blog, you know how I feel about vintage Christmas, so this was perfect. So many people had every browser open to try to get their hands on the lip launch— the competition is real!!

That brings me to PARKE x Set Active. I would definitely say this was one of the biggest drops this year. Similar to Rhode x Matilda, these two brands share similar audiences and have become brands that not only sell clothes but evoke a lifestyle. When you see someone in PARKE or Set Active, you immediately know their vibe. They know what’s in; combining the two is like worlds colliding to create the perfect wardrobe staples. Their launch sold out SO quickly with there being such high demand. Obsessed.

Another collab that just makes the most sense is Abbode x LL Bean. LL Bean has the classic monogram tote that is perfect for anyone. Abbode has the CUTEST embroidery styles… ever??? I went to the NYC location in Nolita and everything was so adorable and chic. Anyone who loves customized pieces will be in embroidery heaven with this collab. It just. makes. sense.

Finally, SKIMS X NORTH FACE? That is too genius. With ski season rapidly approaching and apres festivals being all the “rage,” what better time than now to release the new “it-girl” collab? Every skims girl loves neutrals; they are reliable and versatile. Now, monochrome styles will be taking over the slopes. Talk about being aesthetically apres. Imagine being at a John Summit Apres party in Vail, wearing your SKIMS x North Face ski outfit. The vibes are perfect.
